Who am I?

This is the official website for VILJAR RØYSI.

I'm Viljar Røysi, a Norwegian artist, producer, and songwriter, carving my own path in music under my label VROYSI.

Music has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and I´ve been lucky enough to share it on stages both big and small - whether it's a humble trailer stage or the electric energy of Nashville, Tennessee. One of my proudest moments was fronting Ice Cold Embers to open the 2024 Student World Championship in Ice Skating

- an experience I´ll never forget!

 My journey started in Norway, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Music Education at the University of Inland Norway, with vocals as my main instrument. But my hunger to dive deeper into the art of music production led me to cross the Atlantic to Middle Tennessee State University, where I´m now pursuing a Master's in Recording Arts and Technologies - right outside of the

Music City, USA.

Musically, I live somewhere between country and rock, with a little sprinkle of pop. My songs tell stories of love, heartbreak and finding the courage to be unapologetically yourself

- because if music isn't honest, what's the point?
